5th Memorial Water Lantern Release

Location:         SOUTH Alexander Park (7th Ave. NW Faribault, MN).

EVENT DETAILS

Timeline:

9 am - 11 pm Shelter #2 is reserved for your enjoyment. (by the canoe ramp)

4:00 pm - 7:30 pm - Lantern Decorating area will be open

6:00 pm - Potluck Supper & Dessert

7:45 pm - Program

8:15 pm - Lantern Release

8:45 pm - 9:15 pm - Lanterns Removed From Water

What to Bring:

• Special items to decorate lanterns with: photos, flowers, etc. (Nothing of value as items could be lost in the water)
• Camera
• Bug spray
• Lawn chair

What Not to Bring:

• Please do not bring original or irreplaceable photos or memorabilia 
• For safety reasons, please do not bring pets as they can be very hard to see in the dark

IRIS Will Provide:

• Lantern Decorating Supplies
• Bottled Water
• Paper Plates
• Silverware
• Napkins

Lantern Ordering Information:

• Memorial Water Lanterns can be ordered in memory of any child regardless of the child’s age, where you live, when the child died, the cause of death, or your relationship to the child by visiting: www.irisRemembers.org  or visiting the IRIS Office: 218 3^rd Ave. NW Faribault, MN 55021
• Lanterns can be picked up at the IRIS Office and decorated at home, or reserved by ordering online by August 16, 2017 at 12 noon.
• A Limited number of Memorial Water Lanterns will be for sale at the event.
• If you are unable to join us on the 18^th we will be honored to decorate and release a Lantern for you.

Lantern Pick Up:

• Lanterns may be picked up following the release at the event or at the IRIS office by August 24, 2018

Cost:  

• $10 per Lantern
• Online ordering has ended
• Download a PDF of the order form here and bring with you to the event or fill out out at the event. 

Rains & Weather:

• This event may be cancelled if there’s inclement weather including storms and stong winds.
• Should this happen, we will try to email all registered guests by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the event. We will also post on our Facebook pages.
