Since the day you left this earth, my world has not been the same.
I've not gone a day without feeling you because your heart prints remain.

When you left, I thought how can life be so unfair?
How could you leave me grieving here?

I had to realize that because you were so special, God needed you more than I.
It's comforting to know this every time I cry.

There is a reason for all of this, and I now finally understand.
I can't wait until the day we meet again so I can thank you and hold your hand.

I'll be okay because I know you are watching over me every day.
Every time I see a radiant sunset, I know it's you James Ray.

I hold you close within my heart, and there you will remain.
Until we meet again, baby boy, life will never be the same.
