|For months we planned and waited for you,
Our hearts were filled with love, and that God knew.
The nursery was ready, and we picked a name;
We could hardly wait till you came.
But then when the time did finally arrive,
It was not God’s plan for you to remain alive.
Our hearts were saddened to give you away,
But we know God picked an angel that day.
So now our memories of you are so few,
But then God knew what was best for you.
And now as we slowly go on our way,
We’re looking forward to seeing our angel someday.
