Broken Heart

Broken hearts and broken dreams
of a life that’s never known,
Our time together too short-lived
I never brought you home,
the emptiness I feel inside
the pain too large to bear,
Though time will heal
these open wounds
know always that I care.
I love you little ones
though it was time for us to part,
Your memory will live forever
deep down inside my heart.
