Childhood Friends

In memory of Nichole “Nikki” Terese Deffries March 13, 1984 – April 4, 1998

We were the best of childhood friends,
which we never expected to come to an end.
We spent so much time sharing in fun,
I loved spending time with you, feeling as one.
We grew so apart, so different in ways,
our lifestyles changed and you moved away.
God came and took your life,
leaving me feeling like I was stabbed with a knife.
The hardest part of this ordeal,
is knowing you are gone…
and never telling you before, how I feel,
I’ll treasure your memory and it will live on.
I’ll love you forever, my childhood friend!
