In loving memory of our son Andrew, lost in the fifth month of pregnancy, June 16, 1996

The simple thought of you…
brought us such great joy;
the excitement of a child;
I knew you were a boy.

The simple thought of you…
a special child to love;
is a true blessing;
a gift from above.

The simple thought of you…
made my heart smile;
but we never knew;
you’d leave us in a short while.

The simple thought of you…
now makes me sad;
our arms cannot hold you;
yet we are your Mom and Dad.

The simple thought of you…
will always be bittersweet;
you left upon our hearts;
prints of your tiny feet.

The simple thought of you…
will live within me;
and we will meet again;
I know it’s meant to be.
