To Whom It May Concern…
By Valerie Lomano
In memory of Michaella Cheyenne Lomano
I am a mother of an angel,
who flew to Heaven long before our time was through.
To whom it make concern,
Blonde hair blue eyes, so pure as driven snow,
It did not matter to me, for I love her so.
To whom it may concern,
Why do you cringe everytime I shed a mother’s tear
when I am remembering a time so dear.
To whom it may concern,
Please don’t run and hide everytime
I mention my child’s name.
To whom it may concern,
Yes I am sad,
for this is a pain unlike any ever known.
To whom it may concern,
Please do not ask me to move on or just get over it.
For that is not what I need to hear.
To whom it may concern,
Know that I am not the same person as I once was,
That person died when my child left my world.
To whom it may concern,
For I will never be completely healed
Perhaps in time the pain will lessen.
To whom it may concern,
Let me share my feelings, thoughts, and concerns.
For if not I would be so alone.
To whom it may concern,
Let me grieve this loss in my life,
Do not ask me to hide it for fear of embarrassment.
To whom it may concern,
For when I dream at night,
It will be my angels face I see.
To whom it may concern,
Know that I loved my angel
