OUR BRIEF INCANDESCENT FLAME
by Grandma Jane Sheppard
In loving memory of Keith Douglas Lindhult
How privileged we were to have you
Even such a very short while.
How grieved we are
Not to have you with us still,
Nor to see you grow and flourish.

How loved you were….
And are.
You will always be with us,
Tucked tightly in a corner of our
hearts
Forever.

We never knew
A sudden boding could be
So strong and sweet.
We weep that others
Knew you not.

How enchanting
This slender golden thread,
Woven deep into the fabric
Of our lives
To gleam within us
Always.

How brightly your tender flame
Lit our lives.
Wait for us, beloved,
Upon the distant shore.
