Faribault girl requests IRIS donations over birthday gifts

Ella Beardsley, the daughter of Renee and Jon Beardsley of Faribault, asked guests to bring a donation for Infants Remembered in Silence (IRIS) rather than gifts to her birthday party this year.

Ella's birthday gifts turned into a donation of $60. "When IRIS receives donations from children we always use the money for our Bears for Baby program," said Diana Sundwall, IRIS founder and executive director.

Ella's donation was used to purchase over 100 teddy bears for that program.
