Dear Infants Remembered In Silence Community;
Due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we at IRIS find ourselves responding to unusual challenges that none of us have faced before. It is important to us, as a non-profit organization that cares for grieving parents, to keep everyone’s safety in mind especially those who are grieving and may be vulnerable to this virus.
Because of the population that we work with, the Infants Remembered In Silence Office will remain closed until June 1, 2020 and abiding by the Governors order to "Stay Safe". Please Note - the date has been extended.
IRIS Staff members are still answering phone calls, responding to messages, and providing Advocate Services to the best of our ability. We will continue to keep the safety of the IRIS Advocates in mind. Until Further Notice:
- IRIS Support Group Meetings are Canceled.
- Volunteers are not allowed in the office at this time. We do have volunteer opportunities for you to do from home please email: suppot@irisRemembers.com if you would like to help.
- All Event Planning Meetings are Canceled. Zooms meeting are being held for some events.
- All Personal Appearances are Canceled.
- As of today the Heaven's Angels Bike Run will go on as planned with distancing requirements. If you are interested in joining this committee please reach out to Diana at support@irisRemembers.com.
These steps are being taken to Protect Your Health, the Health of All Grieving Parents.
All of us at IRIS know and understand that grief does not take a break regardless of world events. We also know that being at home for long periods of time is very difficult. We want you to know that we are here for you, and will continue to be - you are Never alone! IRIS is simply changing how we are able to help for a few more weeks.
This is an unusual situation and we are doing our best to make decisions with the information we are being provided.
